PEACE TENSE
April 18, 2004
Peace Tense is an art exhibit that opens on Thursday, April 22 (8 pm) at the Canadian Memorial Centre for Peace at 1825 West 16th Avenue in Vancouver. Also on Thursday (3 pm), the artists will be joined by Leah Decter and Sima Elizabeth Shefrin for a forum called Mining the Community, Artists at Work. The forum will be a discussion about art, artists and community action.
Virginia Baldwin, Kriss Boggild, Lois Klassen and Brenna Maag are the artists whose work in Peace Tense offers a response to the pressence of military action and violence in the midst of their apparently peaceful lives.
If you can't attend the exhibit, you can download a 4 page colour brochure about the artists and their work, here:

(PS My artwork in this exhibit is a video-based installation called Endearing Enduring. I will be uploading a sample of the video on this site soon.)
